Still working on the title but I'm finally done adding pieces.

First off, you have to see the full size picture. When I first saw the thumbnail I thought, "What mess is this?" but then I saw the whole thing!
It must have taken hours to complete this. The piece is totally asymmetrical yet it's pretty well balanced and has a lot of character.
I love how many of the individual parts were used, like the sound-spring used for his little beard and the arm gears used on the nose. I especially liked the mouth, which my only guess is that it was the hammer mechanism for a musical clock or something. I can't even really tell what the right ear is made of.

All in all, it's a pretty impressive piece. It certainly caught my eye.

I agree with BlackHoleInaJar’s will written critique

Wonderful piece

I find it very thought provoking and mind bending. But what really impresses me is the obvious thought and craftsmanship that went into this piece.

I find it to be a cliché and yet still very fresh and alive. It is an interesting piece that invites deep examination.

The Juxtaposition of apparent chaos and believable order gives it a rich feel of have been organically grown while at the same time the gear trains look functional. I expect the automaton to speak wisdom to me.

For me the whole thing has a very retro 50s science fiction feel to it but it is so much better done than anything I remember from that era.

SPELL MUCH?

And actually NO. Just because it is made of clock parts doesn't make it STEAMpunk.

But i'll take you comment as a compliment.

A lot of "Time" has gone into this, is this the face of time looking into the future or the remains of a times past. How many times do you thing I can use the word time.
I really like it but would never have the time or patience for a time piece like this. a fav from me

Thanks. It was frustrating at times (sorry, there's that word again) but it was also relaxing at night, after work, adding a few pieces here and there. "the face of time looking into the future". Hmm, i like that. I'm not even sure what to call it yet, Haven't found the right title for him. Thanks for your insight, and the fav!
